CrossFit Identity has a very knowledgeable staff who are comfortable telling people what to do and most importantly what NOT to do. We all take our jobs very seriously, but have also found a way to have fun with our community while doing so.
I personally like getting to impact people's lives in a meaningful way daily. I am a firm believer that by helping people accomplish a difficult task each day, I'm helping them set themselves up for success outside of the gym as well.

Breona is a two-time Regionals athlete, finishing 7th in the Atlantic Region in 2016. Her infectious smile and positive attitude are hard to miss and you’ll often hear her reminding those around her to “just have fun!”.
“When I’m not training, I’m either thinking about my next workout, figuring out the optimal way to recover or finding new ways to improve myself and my athletes the next time I’m in the box,” Breona says.

I work passionately to achieve my life goal of not letting a day pass without bettering myself in my personal and professional life. CrossFit helps me do that both mentally and physically by pushing me to new limits on a daily basis.

I really like the goal setting aspect of CrossFit, instead of focusing on body image, or numbers on the scale. We get to help athletes set goals that celebrate what their bodies are capable of, and somewhere along the way get better at life. I love that final bit of a workout where I can really push an athlete to leave it all out there. Being a positive force in another person’s life is super fulfilling, so multiply that times all our awesome members and it’s easy to see why this job is the best. Also, let’s be honest, I’m here for some high fives.

Knowing how much CrossFit has changed my life for the better both mentally and physically drives me to be a coach who equips the athletes to strive for the same.

I think that CrossFit Identity provides a unique environment of individuals who strive to be competitive not only in the sport of CrossFit (whatever that means to them) but competitive with themselves. Everyone that walks through the door is not just at the gym to check the box or get in shape but to try and be the best version of themselves physically and mentally.

The uniqueness of our community is that Identity is not the kind of gym where you come in, do a workout, check the box, and go on with your day. Our coaches, as well as our athletes, spend extra time doing extra reps and helping one another get better each and every day. There are no excuses, just hard work and an entire community dedicated to supporting each other's success.

Coaching juniors and adults is as much a learning for me as it is teaching others. Each individual strives to achieve a different goal, on each movement, in each work out. I like to connect with people and see them progress. Success for me is learning what their challenges are and figuring out the coaching cues that make a difference.

I started doing CrossFit because I needed an outlet to fill the void of retiring from a 20 year gymnastics career. I was injured a lot as a young athlete and left my sport pretty broken. After finishing college gymnastics I was looking to be pushed every day, learn new skills, and have a supportive community. CrossFit gave me all of these things plus more!

Coaching clients on their nutrition journey is fascinating. Everyone's life is so different, yet the struggles are rather similar. I find a great deal of joy in teaching clients about nutrition and how to use food as fuel.
